Guitar Classes

Oakwood School offers beginner level acoustic guitar instruction in the Western classical tradition. Guitar classes emphasize basic musicianship which can be applied to any style of music. Proper physical mechanics, score reading, music theory, and repertoire are the main subjects. In general, the focus will be Western Classical music, but popular music including Hindi film songs can also be incorporated depending on the student’s interest and/or goals. These art skills are considered as extra-curricular activities, it’s an optional subject to opt, according to the student interests. It’s not mandatory for all.
